Operations Center Consoles

The Video
Operations Center, or VOC, is the seller's remaining on-line
component. The center has functioned for over twelve years
and has been updated and upgraded several times to remain
current. Based on the General Instruments DigiCipher II
Uplink Encoder System supplied and supported by Motorola,
this system has provided up to 16 channels of video to a
flexible map of authorized receivers with applied FEC at
from rate 7/8 to rate ½ FEC.This system is compatible with a
wide assortment of Motorola IRDs. It is presently operating
with Motorola model DSR-530F. There are approximately 100 of
these IRDs in stock and available at this time. As
configured, the system supports NTSC at standard definition
formats. It will not support HD at 16X9.
The system, as configured, receives
programming streams from a production facility, encodes and
multiplexes the video channels, and sends a single uplink
signal to the teleport alongside the data circuits
associated with the HNS ISBN VSAT network.
